March 2026 | Outreach Meeting: Elder Fraud

Please join Matthew Fontaine, FBI Supervisory Special Agent (SSA), and  U.S. Attorney Kait Brown who will present on the Department of Justice Elder Justice Initiative. The Initiative is a partnership among federal law enforcement entities to prevent financial exploitation of elders. The Elder Justice Team in Massachusetts provides this awareness briefing to identify common fraud trends, prevent victimization and provide resources for elders. SSA Fontaine is responsible for supervising the FBI’s criminal investigations in western Massachusetts, including complex financial fraud, violent crime, crimes against children, elder fraud, and organized crime. SSA Fontaine has experience investigating elder fraud and training stakeholders on strategies to prevent elder fraud.
